Bad Religion, Against Me! coming to Jannus Live in St. Petersburg
It's a punk double bill more than three years in the making.
California punk legends Bad Religion and Gainesville agit-rockers Against Me! are teaming up for a tour that'll hit Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Oct. 12. Joining them will be Philadelphia singer-songwriter Dave Hause of the Loved Ones.
You might recall that Bad Religion and Against Me! were supposed to play the Ritz Ybor together in 2013 before Against Me! dropped off the bill due to uncertainty around the band's lineup.
But a lot's happened in the past three years for one of Florida's most successful alt-rock bands. Against Me!'s acclaimed Transgender Dysphoria Blues came out in 2014, and frontwoman Laura Jane Grace has become one of music's highest-profile advocates for LGBT rights. She played a high-profile concert in North Carolina to protest the state's so-called "bathroom bill." Grace was also in the news after the Orlando Pulse shootings, which prompted French Canadian singer Coeur de Pirate to come out as queer and refer to Grace as her significant other.
Tickets to the Jannus Live show are $25.50 and they go on sale July 15. Click here.
