Beach Boys, Pat Benatar cancel Busch Gardens concerts over 'Blackfish' controversy
Looks like SeaWorld's Blackfish controversy isn't quieting down -- and it's expanding to its sister park in Tampa, Busch Gardens.
Pat Benatar and the Beach Boys, above, have canceled concerts at the park's upcoming Bands, Brew & BBQ series, following in the footsteps of artists who have done the same at SeaWorld: Martina McBride Willie Nelson, Heart, Barenaked Ladies, Trisha Yearwaood, Cheap Trick, Trace Adkins and .38 Special. It's all because of Blackfish, a documentary that criticizes how SeaWorld treats its killer whales and other animals.
Meanwhile, Busch Gardens appears to be rolling full steam ahead with its "Real Music Concert Series," featuring acts like Chubby Checker, Lee Greenwood, Frankie Avalon and Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone, who are there this weekend.
