The Skatepark of Tampa has a knack for booking hip acts for the concerts that accompany its biggest annual events, Tampa Pro and Tampa Am -- Black Lips, Yelawolf, Superchunk and F---ed Up, to name a few.
For this year's Tampa Pro Party, they're going with a more established act: Rapper Big Boi, better known as half of the Grammy-winning hip-hop duo Outkast.
Big Boi will headline this year's Tampa Pro Party on March 23 at the Ritz Ybor. He'll be joined by Sub Pop garage-punk outfit Metz, which promises to make this a memorable night of genre-hopping.
Concert details are still being tweaked, but according to Ticketmaster, they'll start at $15 and are on sale now. Click here and here for details.
