Big Guava Festival not returning to Tampa in 2016
You can stop waiting on pins and needles for a lineup for Tampa's Big Guava Music Festival. Organizers Live Nation have confirmed it won't be returning in 2016.
"Due to an overabundance of returning and new festivals in Florida in 2016, Live Nation has elected to take this year off with the Big Guava Festival in Tampa," the concert promotions giant said in a statement provided by David Harb, general manager of the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre.
That's three and out -- for now -- for a festival that has made Soundcheck's "Best Concerts of the Year" list two years running. After bringing acts like Outkast, the Strokes, Vampire Weekend, Ryan Adams, the Pixies, Run the Jewels, Chance the Rapper, James Blake and Passion Pit to town, we'll have to wait until 2017 for more.
