UPDATE: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band coming to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa
Outkast, Vampire Weekend and now Bruce Springsteen. Does that sound like a pretty fun weekend, or what?
One day before Outkast, Vampire Weekend and Foster the People take the stage for the inaugural Big Guava Music Festival at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on May 2-4, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will play the same venue, in effect stretching one killer three-day festival into the best four-day musical weekend of the year.
The Boss and company announced the May 1 concert on Tampa on Monday morning, adding that tickets would go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 15. No prices have been announced just yet, but we'll keep you posted.
***UPDATE*** Tickets are $41-$124, and they go on sale Saturday morning. Click here.
This tour date, which is just a couple of days before the group plays Jazz Fest in New Orleans, comes in support of Springsteen's new album High Hopes, a collection of covers, reworked oldies and other odds and sods. But somehow we think they'll fit a few classics in there, too.
