Cage the Elephant to headline 2017 Gasparilla Music Festival lineup
The Gasparilla Music Festival is once again ready to rock.
Grammy-nominated alt-rockers Cage the Elephant (Ain't No Rest For the Wicked) will headline the 2017 Gasparilla Music Festial, organizers announced Thursday morning. The booking of a radio-friendly rock act comes as a reversal of sorts from 2016, when R&B singer Erykah Badu, reggae star Stephen Marley and rapper Talib Kweli were among the top names.
While a full lineup is still in the works, the sixth-year fest also announced sets by Moon Taxi, the New Mastersounds, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Shamarr Allen and the Underdawgs.
The Gasparilla Music Festival is set for March 11-12 at Curtis Hixon Park. Early bird two-day tickets are on sale now for $40 ($150 VIP), with single-day tickets available for $100 on March 11 and $75 on March 12.
