Ticket Window: Jason Aldean, Journey, Metric and more
One of country music's hottest singers leads this week's edition of Ticket Window -- that'd be Jason Aldean, above -- but we'd be remiss if we didn't mention Hippiefest, which is returning to Ruth Eckerd Hall with guests Johnny and Edgar Winter. What a couple of kooks, those Winters! Touring together like it's 1972 all over again!
Other Tampa Bay concerts going on sale this week: The Acacia Strain (July 15, State Theatre), The Toadies and Helmet (July 26, State Theatre), Jason Aldean with Luke Bryan (Aug. 10, 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre), Hippiefest (Aug. 25, Ruth Eckerd Hall), Kamelot (Sept. 10, State Theatre), Metric (Sept. 29, Ritz Ybor) and Journey (Oct. 12, 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre).

Ticket Window: Florence and the Machine, Rush, Bush and more
Yes, tickets to Florence and the Machine's concert at the USF Sun Dome go onsale this week, and yes, it's sure to be one of the hottest shows of the fall. But the reason they're leading off this week's edition of Ticket Window is pretty much just so we can show you this insane Christmas tree-style dress Florence Welch wore on a red carpet the other day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Guess odd fashion choices come with the territory of being an angelic, ethereal, alternative songbird.
Other Tampa Bay concerts with tickets going on sale this week: Bush (Aug. 2, Ritz Ybor), mewithoutYou (Aug. 8, State Theatre), Meat Loaf (Aug. 15, Ruth Eckerd Hall), Adam Caroll and Dennis Prager (Aug. 25, Straz Center), You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up! (Sept. 13-Oct. 14, Straz Center), Florence and the Machine (Sept. 25, USF Sun Dome), Rush (Nov. 3, 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre) and Tap Dogs (Nov. 8, Mahaffey Theatre).

Ticket Window: Explosions in the Sky, Ted Nugent, Mike Epps and more
In this week's Ticket Window, we're justifiably excited about Explosions in the Sky and Ted Nugent coming to Tampa (not together, sadly). But let's not sleep on David Sanborn, the sax legend who's one of the most famous musicians ever to come out of Tampa. Homeboy's coming back to the Mahaffey Theatre on Aug. 16.
Other Tampa Bay concerts and shows with tickets going on sale this week: Jackyl (June 14, State Theatre), Explosions in the Sky (June 19, Ritz Ybor), The Producers (July 21-22, Straz Center), Super WHY Live! (July 28, Straz Center), Ted Nugent (Aug. 6, Ruth Eckerd Hall), David Sanborn and Brian Culbertson (Aug. 16, Mahaffey Theater) and Mike Epps (Nov. 3, Straz Center).

Ticket Window: Santana, Built to Spill, Ledisi and more
Quite a newsy edition of Ticket Window we've got for you this week! Checking out today's list of concerts with tickets going on sale this week, we find one big new one: Santana, on Aug. 26 at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre (that's the eve of the Republican National Convention, if you're keeping score at home). Not only that, but we're learning indie-rock heroes Built to Spill are coming to the State Theatre on Sept. 12, and Ledisi with Eric Benet will be at the Mahaffey Theater on Aug. 4. Big stuff!
Other Tampa Bay concerts with tickets going on sale this week: Styx (June 3, Ruth Eckerd Hall), the Malone Brothers (June 7, Straz Center), Puscifer (June 11, Straz Center), the Summer Slaughter Tour with Cannibal Corpse and Between the Buried and Me (July 30, Ritz Ybor), Ledisi with Eric Benet (Aug. 4, Mahaffey Theater), Santana (Aug. 26, 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre), Bill Maher (Sept. 1, Ruth Eckerd Hall), Ian Anderson (Sept. 23, Ruth Eckerd Hall), Built to Spill (Sept. 12, State Theatre) and Anjelah Johnson (Sept. 29, Straz Center)

Ticket Window: Jason Mraz, Mayhem Festival, Keith Sweat and more
There are some big shows with tickets going on sale this week, but one that we have our eye on is the Fresh Music Festival, featuring Keith Sweat (above), Doug E. Fresh, SWV, Guy and K-Ci and JoJo. It's taking place July 7 at -- wait for it -- the USF Sun Dome, which has been under construction for months and months, but finally appears about ready to host concerts once again. This is the first announced show for the renovated venue, but more will be announced soon.
Other Tampa Bay concerts with tickets going on sale this week: Timothy B. Schmidt (May 24, Capitol Theatre), John Brown's Body (May 31, State Theatre), Bobby Collins (June 2, Mahaffey Theater), Bouncing Souls (June 15, State Theatre), Fresh Music Festival (July 7, USF Sun Dome), Mayhem Festival (July 13, 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre), Jason Mraz (Aug. 14, 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre) and Il Volo (Sept. 15, Straz Center).

Ticket Window: Bon Iver, The Family Stone, Vans Warped Tour and more
It's quite a week for Ticket Window, with tickets going on sale for a variety of quality acts. A new one to share with you: The Family Stone, who will be at the Club at Treasure Island on June 16.
Now, before you get too excited, bear in mind, this isn't SLY AND The Family Stone, so don't expect the reclusive funk legend himself to show up (although anything's possible). We're told this incarnation will include original Family Stone members Jerry Martini, Cynthia Robinson and Greg Errico, along with Alex Davis, Trina Johnson Finn, Nate Wingfield and Blaise Sison. With or without Sly, it should be a pretty fun show.
Other Tampa Bay concerts with tickets going on sale this week include: Greg Lake (April 30, Capitol Theatre), Kathy Griffin (June 1, Ruth Eckerd Hall), Heralds of Harmony (June 3, USF Concert Hall, Tampa), Bon Iver (June 7, Straz Center), The Family Stone (June 16, The Club at Treasure Island), Beat Connection (June 26, Orpheum), Dukes of September with Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs (July 24, Ruth Eckerd Hall), the Vans Warped Tour (July 29, Vinoy Park) and Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition (Oct. 6-March 3, Mahaffey Theatre).

Ticket Window: 311, Filter, Soulfly and more
You're not likely to catch this author at a Slightly Stoopid show anytime soon, even if they ARE touring with 311. Once was enough for me. So I'll skip buying tickets to their show July 20 in Tampa, which goes on sale this week.
Other Tampa Bay concerts with tickets going on sale this week: Filter (April 21, State Theatre), Soulfly (May 4, State Theatre), The Queen Extravaganza (June 15, Straz Center), Happy Together Tour (June 15, Ruth Eckerd Hall) and 311 with Slightly Stoopid (July 20, 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre).

Ticket Window: One Direction, Avicii, KISS, Barenaked Ladies and more
This was looking like a pretty light week for Ticket Window, right up until this morning. That's when we got three major tour announcements in the span of a few hours: Avicii at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, and One Direction (above) and KISS with Motley Crue at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre. When it rains, it pours. In a good way.
Tampa Bay concerts with tickets going on sale this week include: Vince Gill (May 13, Mahaffey Theater), Avicii (June 7, Tampa Bay Times Forum) John Waite (June 8, Capitol Theatre), Barenaked Ladies with Blues Traveler, Cracker and Big Head Todd and the Monsters (July 17, 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre), One Direction (June 29, 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre), KISS and Motley Crue (July 28, 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre) and Little Feat (Aug. 1, Capitol Theatre).

50 Concerts
Why would anyone voluntarily attempt to see 50 concerts at 50 different venues in a single summer? Jay Cridlin shrugged and thought: Eh, why not.
