College Football Playoff: X Ambassadors, NFL stars line up for ESPN/Allstate party in downtown Tampa
One of the hottest parties of the College Football Playoff’s national championship weekend is coming to downtown Tampa. But if you don’t already have a ticket, forget about getting in.
ESPN’s Allstate Party at the Playoff will take place Saturday night at the historic Kress Building in the 800 block of N Franklin Ave. Celebrities, athletes and ESPN personalities will walk a blue carpet throughout the night, for any curious star-spotters out there.
While the three-year-old College Football Playoff has not yet evolved into a full-on party-palooza like the Super Bowl, the ESPN/Allstate bash is perhaps its top ticket, sort of like a much tamer version of the Super Bowl’s Maxim Party. Last year’s party in Arizona was attended by Tim Tebow, Anthony Anderson, Rachel Platten and Kirk Herbstreit.
On the guest list so far this year: Former Alabama Crimson Tide stars Shaun Alexander, Mark Ingram, Derrick Henry, DeMeco Ryans and Marcell Dareus; plus ex-Florida Gator Trey Burton, Rays centerfielder Kevin Kiermaier and ex-Ray B.J. Upton. Headlining this year's event will be Renegades rockers X Ambassadors.
Good luck getting a last-minute invite. But if you somehow do, send us a snapshot from the blue carpet.
