3 Doors Down, Seether, Stone Sour headline 98 Rockfest at St. Pete Times Forum

Is anyone else excited about the upcoming Avalanche Tour? Because we're having a hard time getting up for it.

Seriously -- nothing against Stone Sour (above, featuring Slipknot's Corey Taylor), Theory of a Deadman, Skillet, Halestorm or Art of Dying. But we've said it before and we've said it again: The world doesn't need another blowout hard-rock tour. Between the Warped Tour, the Rockstar Mayhem Festival, Bamboozle Roadshow, Ozzfest, the Carnival of Madness Tour, the AP Tour and countless others, is another hard rock tour what we all need?

Whatever: We're not here to player-hate. We're here to player-participate. And the good news is, the Tampa stop of this year's Avalanche Tour will double as this year's 98 Rockfest -- and it'll add two more big names to the bill: 3 Doors Down and Seether.

This newest, hardest, most metalriffic tour is coming to the St. Pete Times Forum on April 2, according to 98 Rock's official website. According to Ticketmaster, tickets will go onsale Jan. 28 for $30 to $128. Click here to purchase.

We remain convinced that the world doesn't need another traveling hard rock festival. But for one day, at least, we'll allow this one in Tampa Bay.
