30 Seconds to Mars coming to the Ritz Ybor
We've mentioned this before, but there was a stretch in 2005 and 2006 where it seemed like 30 Seconds to Mars was in Tampa Bay every other week. It was like Jared Leto was trying to qualify as a Florida resident for tax purposes or something.
Their last local performance was in December, at Next Big Thing. Must be about time for Leto and company to make another pilgrimage back to Tampa Bay.
A day after it was announced that Deftones are coming to the Ritz Ybor, 30 Seconds to Mars have announced a fall tour that'll bring them to the Ritz on Oct. 15. Neon Trees and New Politics are scheduled to open. (Wait, New Politics? Aren't they also playing the Orpheum on Aug. 5? Why yes, yes they are.)
There's no word yet on 30 Seconds to Mars tickets yet, but we'll keep you posted. Click here for details on the tour.
Also, unlike a lot of music writers, we've always tried to defend 30 Seconds to Mars as a pretty decent band. But that photo above? No one can defend that. Jared, what were you thinking?
