Aerosmith coming to the Ford Amphitheatre

Here's a makeup show we can cross off our list.

A year after canceling a gig in Tampa, a now seemingly stable Aerosmith is returning to the Ford Amphitheatre, according to their website.

The band's "Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock" summer tour will hit at least 19 cities from July to September, including Tampa on Aug. 7. The band is also scheduled to perform Aug. 9 in Fort Lauderdale. According to the tour announcement, Sammy Hagar and the Wabos will open 11 of the dates, but at this point, Tampa isn't one of them.

You'll have to keep your fingers crossed that this show actually goes off. Last year, injuries to singer Steven Tyler forced the cancellation of a number of dates, including Tampa's. At the time, Joe Perry promised the band would return. Looks like they'll try to make good on that promise.

Tickets go onsale at 10 a.m. June 12, but no prices have been announced. We'll keep you posted. And click here for details.
