Alice Cooper coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall

Alice Cooper is a lot of things: Golfer, thespian, born-again conservative Christian, spokesperson for Bridgestone tires, Staples office supplies and Marriott hotels.

But at one point -- and you youngsters out there will get a kick out of this -- he used to be a professional rock and/or roll musician, performing songs about bats and blood and things that go bump in the night. A nation of hand-wringing parents thought he might be the devil.

Okay, we kid. Cooper never stopped performing hits like I'm Eighteen and School's Out. And on Oct. 2, Cooper will bring his "Theatre of Death Tour '09" to Ruth Eckerd Hall. Tickets are $35-$65, and they go onsale Friday.

Ruth Eckerd hall hasn't posted the details yet, but when they do, you'll be able to find them here.
