Angels & Airwaves, Say Anything coming to the Ritz Ybor
Evidently we won't be getting another Blink-182 reunion tour this spring.
Angels & Airwaves are hitting the road for a 40-city tour in April and May, and unless Tom DeLonge has mastered the art of Lost-style parallel universe travel (not out of the question), he'll be with his Blink side project the whole time.
The good news is, this tour is coming to Tampa. On May 13, DeLonge and company will hit the Ritz Ybor, according to their Web site. Tickets are not on sale yet, but they will be soon, and they'll cost $30.50. Click here for details.
To sweeten the pot, A&A is bringing with them Say Anything, another incredibly popular pop-punk group, whose last show in Tampa Bay, at the State Theatre in November, sold out. Frontman Max Bemis is a genuine (if kinda unstable) songwriting talent, and there will be plenty of hardcore Say Anything fans in the crowd. (Daddy Kool's Web site says another act will also be added to the bill, turning this from a supershow into an ubershow, at least in the mind of pop-punk fans.)
We're betting this show will sell out, so if you want to go, you should buy your tickets early.
