Another hip-hop Haiti relief show coming Saturday in Tampa
The last time the House of Hitz hosted a Haiti earthquake relief concert, the cops came and shut it down. Something about permits and the music being too loud. (Check out the video above for an artists' response to the shutdown.)
On Saturday, they're gonna try it again -- and this time, promoter Daniel Veras says, "everything has been squared with the police and city officials, all the permissions and paper work are in place."
The Super Haiti Benefit Concert will take place from noon to 6 p.m. at House of Hitz, 3311 W Hillsborough Ave., Tampa. Among the artists lined up to appear: The Latin League, Beatnik Castle with Osha Kai, DJ Christion, DJ Quest, Sal and many more.
Organizers are primarily looking for donations of goods like medical supplies, baby food and formula, canned foods, tarps and more. Click here for a list of what's needed.
They're planning to stream the event at TampaRap.com, too, so look for video there on Saturday. Check out the flyer for the show after the jump.
