Artist of the day: The Hernando Harmonizers

We wish we could tell you that "The Hernando Harmonizers" was the name of a hardcore punk band. It's not, but any excuse to use this blog's oh-so-rare "barbershop/polka" tag is fine by us. It's our version of "food metaphors."

The Harmonizers are a men's barbershop chorus, and they sing a cappella four-part harmony. Recently, the 30-member chorus, performed a Veterans Day weekend concert honoring fallen heroes. They performed some old-time favorites, such as An Irish Lullaby (Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ra), I Believe, What a Wonderful World, Battle Hymn of the Republic, a medley of armed forces songs and America the Beautiful.
