We’re less than a week from St. Patrick’s Day. To celebrate, we’re paying tribute to some of Tampa Bay’s top Celtic folk and rock bands. Today: Juniper.

Their sound: A simple yet evocative blend of Gaelic and Appalachian folk music, a la the Duhks, that harks back to authentic Celtic songs of yore. In addition to performing at festivals and Irish pubs around Tampa Bay, they travel around the Southeast for performances around North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

This week: 5 p.m. March 16 at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg; 7:30 p.m. at Bok Tower in Lake Wales.
