Artist of the day: Le Blorr
Orlando Calling might be the biggest new music festival in Florida, but organizers aren’t overlooking the little guys. There are plenty of talented Orlando groups lined up to perform Saturday and Sunday at the Citrus Bowl. We’re spotlighting a few of them all week. Today: Le Blorr.
The "blorr" in Le Blorr is actually an acronym for Bastard Lovechild of Rock and Roll. Chris Hess and Adam Winn of Satellite Beach deliver indie blues-punk as slinky, sexy and nasty as you might hope for, earning them the right to open for the likes of Matt and Kim, the Black Lips, Cold War Kids and Wavves. Check out their lush, amazing video for Seven Sisters, above.
You can catch Le Blorr at 4:15 p.m. Saturday on Stage 4 at Orlando Calling. But if you don’t feel like driving all the way up I-4, good news: Le Blorr is also performing at 9 p.m. Thursday at New World Brewery, alongside Awesome New Republic. Doors open at 9 p.m. Click here for details.
