Artist of the day: Mo'Gravy

Odds are you’ve probably heard Mo’Gravy out and about in Tampa Bay, and you haven’t even realized it. The five-piece acoustic over band plays songs from across the pop-music spectrum, from artists ranging from Jason Mraz and Bruno Mars to the Beatles to Bob Marley to the Dixie Chicks, all with their signature delicate guitars and layered harmonies.

Singer-guitarist Keith Koehler leads the group with a combination of talents, including singer-guitarist Michael Eggleston, vocalists Avery Allsion and Katie Fonte and bassist Sebastian “Buster” Castallano, among others. You can often find them at bars like the Dubliner in South Tampa, Maloney’s in Westchase and Duke’s Bar at the Hula Bay Club, among others.

On Tuesday, check them out at Daniel B. Marshall’s CD release party at Skipper’s Smokehouse in Tampa. Tickets are $7-$10. Click here.
