With members pulled from Magadog and Bride of Chaotica, among other local bands, My Wild Heaven brings a lot of musical experience to the table, blending elements of math rock, glam rock and unique melodies to create a happening sound.

They bill themselves as "aggressive sci-fi rock," citing influences like King Crimson, but a track like Hey Nikki is pure garage power-pop, and ESP is a spacey party track.

The group -- Bill Bechtel (pictured) on guitars, keys and vocals; Ed Lowery on drums; and Robert "Red" Redmond on bass -- pulled together a handful of special guests for their debut self-titled album, released in 2008.
