Artist of the day: My X

Okay, we'll bite. Today's artist of the day is My X, the band that forms the basis for this year's Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream gimmick.

In short: My X is a band fronted by a dangerous lil' minx named Sylvie, who graduated with Honors from the Avril Lavigne School of Faux-Pop-Rage. She used to be part of a boy-girl combo called XY, until her male counterpart disappeared. DISAPPEARED WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE. (Or so it is insinuated.)

According to Sean Daly, who checked out My X and Sylvie during a recent trip to Howl-O-Scream:

My X plays live shows at the park, comes with an arsenal of downloadable songs (go to, has a full line of merch and is ripe for rumor and salesmanship on Twitter, Facebook, etc. There’s only one problem: Sylvie isn’t scary at all. But the lil’ devil is really hot. (Yes, I have issues. So sue me.)
