Artist of the day: Proclaim and Endure

Proclaim and Endure — singer Jacob Stills, guitarists Zach McDonald and Matthew Miller, bassist Ben Dziubek and drummer Gregg Mann — are a death metal band minus the death, complete with thundering guitars and soul-shaking growls.

The Christian headbangers describe themselves as “a Christian music ministry who drives to rapidly expand the kingdom of heaven in what is undoubtedly the most thriving music scene across Florida,” Stills said. "We make our message very clear at every show that our beliefs have no dictation on what we feel about you. That no matter what you're into (Satanism, Buddhism, Scientology), we're gonna treat you the same way."

This spring, they plan to hit the studio to record their debut EP. And in the summer, they’ll tour the Southeast and head to Illinois for the Cornerstone Festival, one of the biggest Christian music fests out there.

Tonight, you can check them out at Transitions Art Gallery at the Skatepark of Tampa, alongside In the Midst of Lions, A Hope for Home and more. The show is at 8 p.m.; tickets are $10. Click here for details.
