Artist of the day: Relo

Lakeland's Relo are one of central Florida's up-and-coming artists to watch, a wickedly catchy trio with a sparkling indie-meets-Britpop sound. Already they've been tapped to open for some cool artists in Tampa, including Tigercity and Tampa's own Mogul Street Reserve.

Matt Brown (vocals, keys, guitar), Paul Allan (guitars) and Alex Bennett (drums, formerly of Pemberley) recently played the Florida Music Festival in Orlando, and on Saturday, Relo will play with Mother/Father and the JeanMarie at Crowbar in Ybor City. Tickets are $7.

They're planning to spend some time in the studio this month, and their new EP, produced by Copeland's Aaron Marsh, is due out this summer. Click here to listen to an mp3 of Relo's Crystal Clear. Like what you hear? head to Relo's Purevolume site to download free mp3s of Crystal Clear and three other songs.
