Artist of the day: Richard Gilewitz

Richard Gilewitz of Inverness is a magician on the acoustic guitar, playing a blend of folksy but whimsical classical compositions. Imaginative and eclectic, the renowned fingerstyle player travels the country performing at festivals and classical venues, and holding workshops.

Want lessons from Gilewitz? Click here. Want to attend one of his "GillaCamps," the next of which is in January in California? Click here.

Gilewitz doesn't often play locally, so when he does, you should take note. Like this weekend -- Gilewitz will be performing at Skipper's Smokehouse at 5 p.m. Sunday, alongside Tim May. Tickets are $12-$15, which is a steal for musicianship of this magnitude.

If you don't believe us, check out the video of Gilewitz above.
