sara.delbeato1.jpgSara DelBeato is an accomplished stage actress in the Tampa Bay area, and her specialty is big, brassy ballads and show tunes. In addition to starring as Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray and Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, she’s appeared in a national tour of Arthur, Live!, and American Stage in the Park’s production of Little Shop of Horrors.

She’s also an accomplished singer who can do jazz, pop and rock, in addition to musicals. This weekend, prepare to get diva-tized as DelBeato will embody one of her heroes, Bette Midler, in a show she calls "The Bette Set A musical journey to Midler Earth."

DelBeato and pianist Michael Rabbe will collaborate on a cabaret-style show featuring songs, stories and more. Shows are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the New American Theater, 183 Second Ave. N (inside BayWalk), St. Petersburg. Tickets are $15. Click here for details.
