Tampa scene vets Jeremy Jones, John Brennan, Mike Spenceley and Dustin Tamillo joined forces in '08 to form the Tape Delay, an instrumental, atmospheric alt-rock outfit that all but begs for comparisons to Explosions in the Sky. “We get that all of the time and we’re totally cool with it,” says Jones. “It’s a compliment more than anything.” They’re working on a 6-song EP, Explorations and Naming, out this fall.
