Artist of the day: The Tenant

Yesterday we brought you the reunited Pohgoh, who are the stars of the show at New Granada's annual Christmas night concert Friday at New World Brewery.

And "if Pohgoh shows where it all started," New Granada honcho (and Pohgoh drummer) Keith Ulrey said in an e-mail, "The Tenant will show where we're at."

Forged from the ashes of Orlando's Summerbirds in the Cellar, the Tenant (based in Austin, Texas, with ties to Orlando and Lakeland) includes singer Brad Register, Dave Kazyk, Chandler Strang and Travis Reed. The band's head-bobbing indie pop is worth a listen -- good thing Friday's show doubles as a release party for the band's new 7", The Tenant is Listening.

The New Granada Christmas show (with Pohgoh and Red Room Cinema) is at 9 p.m. at New World Brewery.
