The Riverhawk Music Festival is coming up this weekend, and one of the premier Florida bands on the bill are the Wholetones from Naples.

The group -- singer/multi-instrumentalists Alex Dorris and Taylor Freydberg, bassist Russ Depa and drummer Mayo Coates -- play "Florida Folkcore," which is shorthand for a fusion of bluegrass, jazz, jam and rock. It's a beguiling blend that can appeal to fans of punk, reggae and gypsycore alike. (Yes! Even gypsycore!)

The Wholetones will play at 2:15 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The Riverhawk Music Festival takes place all day Thursday through Sunday at Sertoma Youth Ranch, 85 Myers Road, Brooksville. Other artists on the bill include Dave Alvin and the Guilty Ones, the Grand Slambovians, Claire Lynch Band and many more. Weekend tckets are $79-$115 advance, $95-$125 at the gate. Day passes start at $15 for adults and $8 for kids. For more details on the festival, click here.
