Avicii coming to UCF Arena in Orlando

If you're wondering when electronic dance music is going to break into the mainstream, you're too late. It's already happened.

Still need proof? Swedish DJ Avicii, who had one of the biggest dance-pop hits of the year in Levels, is headlining a huge show at Orlando's UCF Arena on Jan. 27. That's one week after a pair of huge alternative/metal bands (Rise Against and A Day to Remember) and one week before a country superstar (Miranda Lambert) play the same venue. Tickets are $45-$55, though UCF students can get discounted tickets for $25. Click here.

You've heard Levels before, even if you don't know the name Avicii (otherwise known as Tim Bergling). It's the Etta James-sampling track that Flo Rida used in his hit song Good Feeling. ("Ohhhh, sometimes I get a good feeling ... I get a feeling that I never, never, never, never had before...) It's irresistable.

Oh, and not to rub salt in the wound, but if you think that $45 ticket fee is too high, you could have caught Avicii at the Venue in Clearwater back in March, and then again in September. We're thinking he might not be playing clubs that small again for a while.
