Band of Horses coming to the Ritz Ybor in Tampa

Band of Horses owe Tampa Bay fans a show. But it's not their fault they had to cancel their last one.

The acclaimed Seattle indie rock outfit was scheduled to open a 2011 show by Kings of Leon at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre. But when the Followill Brothers scrapped that show, and the rest of their tour, at the last minute, local Band of Horses fans were out of luck.

That'll change on Oct. 14, when Band of Horses plays a headlining set at the Ritz Ybor. Tickets are $27.50, according to Ticketmaster, and they'll go onsale Friday. Click here.

Ben Bridwell's stirring vocals have made Band of Horses a favorite at festivals, including this year's DeLuna Festival in Pensacola Beach, where they're one of the top-billed bands. They're in the midst of a tour with My Morning Jacket at the moment, in advance of their forthcoming album Mirage Rock, due in September.
