Blink-182, My Chemical Romance coming to the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre in Tampa
Two years ago, we proclaimed Blink-182's reunion tour stop at the Ford Amphitheatre in Tampa one of our favorite local concerts of 2009. The sold-out gig was a nonstop fun romp through our collective high school years, as hits like Dammit, All The Small Things and What's My Age Again got all 20,000 fans dancing in their seats.
If you missed that show, good news: Blink-182 is coming back. And they're bringing one of the most ambitious young pop-punk groups in the world with them.
Blink-182 and My Chemical Romance will headline the 40-city 2011 Honda Civic Tour, which will hit Tampa's 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre on Sept. 24. As if that weren't enough, one of the most energetic bands on the planet, Matt and Kim, will open the show.
The tour news is hot off the presses, so we don't have ticket info just yet. But trust us, you'll want tickets. This sounds like a highly enjoyable show.
