Brandi Carlile, Erase Hate Festival returning to Tampa's Curtis Hixon Park on Nov. 4

Curtis Hixon Park has enjoyed mixed success as a festival venue. For every successful Gasparilla Music Festival, there's an event like April's Erase Hate Festival, which seemed promising, but was canceled due to the threat of inclement weather.

Now organizers are giving the fest another go. Cult singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile, the festival's original headliner, will return for a new stab at the Erase Hate Festival on Nov. 4 at Curtis Hixon Park. Miggs and other local artists will offer support. The event is free, with VIP tickets available for $75, benefitting Erase Hate Tampa Bay, a nonprofit that seeks to educate local students on matters of tolerance. Click here for details.

If you missed it, we talked with Carlile back in April about bullying, political advocacy and more. Click here to read it.
