Brandon Flowers talks fatherhood, resisting temptation and the Killers' next album

We'll take the last part first, please: The Killers' follow-up to Day & Age is “halfway there,” says frontman Brandon Flowers. “What I learned from the solo album I’ve used on the new Killers music.”

That applies to style as much as patience: “In the past I’ve been guilty of doing stupid things like rushing deadlines. So we’re being cautious. We want this to be the absolute best we can make it.”

Hopefully the Killers will pull out a new song or two this weekend, when they headline the inaugural Orlando Calling festival at the Citrus Bowl. The band plays at 9:45 p.m. on the Main Stage. For all the details you could want about the festival, click here.
