Brian Regan, Aziz Ansari, 'Daily Show' stars lead Miami's South Beach Comedy Festival

Every now and then, we here at SoundcheckCorp. like to stray from covering local music and dip our toes into the world of live comedy.

This is one of those times. If you like comedy, you might want to book a trip to Miami for the South Beach Comedy Festival, which takes place Jan. 21-23.

It's not the Edinburgh festival, or the Montreal festival, or even the Aspen festival. But for comedy fans, it does have a pretty killer lineup.

Headliners include some of the top touring standups in the country, including Brian Regan, Gabriel Iglesias, Kevin Hart, Joe Rogan, Aziz Ansari (above), Mike Birbiglia and Jon Lajoie. For fans of slightly more hipstery comedy, there's Aziz Ansari (above) and Jon Lajoie. On Jan. 23, there's a "Daily Show and Friends" event featuring John Oliver, Rob Riggle and Rory Albanese. And on Jan. 21, there's a free show featuring up-and-coming comics like Owen Benjamin, Pete Holmes and Natasha Leggero.

Tickets to most shows are $25-$45, depending on the comic. What, that's not a good enough deal for you? Fine, you twisted our collective arm. If you decide to stay at the Albion South Beach, the Dorchester Hotel, the Hotel Marseilles or the Suites of Dorchester, use the code SBCF when you book your reservation to get a discounted rate.
