Charlie Daniels Band, Little Texas, Confederate Railroad highlight 2010 Charlie-Palooza in Tampa

We all know Charlie Daniels can take down the Devil in a fiddlin' contest. But how about poker? Or golf?

Guess we'll find out once again when Charlie-Palooza comes back to Tampa for its 20th year benefitting The Angelus, an organization of group homes for those with cerebral palsy.

This year's Charlie-Palooza is set for Dec. 2-4 at venues around Tampa Bay, capping off with a great country concert at the Dallas Bull. Charlie Daniels Band, Little Texas and Confederate Railroad will perform at 6 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Bull; tickets are $20. Daniels himself is worth the price of admission, as we learned when we saw him perform in Palmetto in April. But it's really a solid lineup top to bottom. God Blessed Texas still kinda rocks.

But of course, there's more to Charlie-Palooza than just music. As always, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino will host a $10,000 poker tournament at 9 p.m. Dec. 2, with the grand prize winner receiving $5,000. The entry fee is $200, and there's a limit of 240 players.

And on Friday, Charlie-Palooza's annual golf tournament will take place at Hunter's Green Golf and Country Club with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The entry for a twosome is $500.
