Coming to Tampa/Orlando: Pitbull, All Time Low, Fountains of Wayne, the Decemberists and many, many more




Man, you leave the office for a couple of days, the entire Tampa Bay concert calendar goes nuclear. I had more than a dozen concert announcements waiting for me when I came back today. Some of them impact Tampa Bay, some of them don't.

To make things easy, here's a list of artists (aside from Lil Wayne) who this week announced concerts in Tampa Bay, and after the jump, a list of road-trip-worthy artists who announced shows in Orlando (like the Decemberists, above), as well as a few artists who just said, "Screw it, let's skip Florida altogether." Those guys suck.

Coming to Tampa Bay

-- Classixx: The indie-friendly disco combo formerly known as Young Americans will be at Pulp the Party at Czar on Aug. 12.

-- Tracy Byrd: The watermelon will most definitely be crawling when this country favorite returns to the Dallas Bull on Aug. 14. Tickets, as always, are $9.95. Get details here.

-- Paradiso Girls: The Patron Tequila songstresses will be at the Kennedy Aug. 14 with Space Cowboy. Ladies 21 and up get in free all night. Get details here.

-- Pitbull: The reggaeton hero comes to the Ritz Ybor Sept. 4, with DJ Laz. Tickets are $30-$35. Get details here.

-- Emarosa: The hardcore Kentuckians come to the Orpheum Oct. 7 with Dance Gavin Dance, Mice and Men, Of Machines and Tampa's own Tides of Man (who are on the entire tour, it seems). Tickets are $16. Get details here.

-- Dear and the Headlights: The Warped Tour indie kids play Oct. 16 with Kinch at the Orpheum. Tickets are $13. Get details here.

-- Senses Fail: More Warped Tour '09 vets. These guys play the State Theatre Oct. 18 with A Skylit Drive, Closure in Moscow and FACT. No ticket info just yet.

-- Thursday: According to and openers the Dear Hunter, the hardcore heroes will play the State Theatre with The Fall of Troy and Touche Amore on Oct. 21. No other details available yet.

-- All Time Low: If you missed the Warped Tour, this might be just as good. We the Kings, Hey Monday and the Friday Night Boys join All Time Low on this jaunt, which comes to Jannus Landing Oct. 26. Tickets are $19-$21; they go onsale Friday. Get details here.

-- Attack Attack!: Pollstar says a post-Warped tour with I Set My Friends On Fire, Miss May I, Our Last Night and the Color Morale is coming to the State Theatre Nov. 2.

-- Brand New/Thrice: A big punk/hard rock show here. It'll take place Nov. 5 at the Ritz Ybor. Tickets are $25-$28. The details will be posted here soon.

-- Joshua Radin: The singer-songwriter comes to the State Theatre Nov. 10 with the Watson Twins. Tickets are $16. Get details here.

-- Chuck Ragan: The Hot Water Music frontman hits the State Theatre Nov. 21 with Jim Ward, Frank Turner, John Snodgrass, Chad Price of Drag the River and the Zydepunks. Get ticket info here.

-- Kenny Rogers: The Gambler will bring his "Christmas & Hits Tour" to the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg on Dec. 1. Tickets are not on sale yet, but check here for updates.
