Concert of the day: Eric Hutchinson at the Orpheum
Maryland's Hutchinson should appeal to fans of Jason Mraz and Gavin DeGraw, and Ryder, a rising star in Canada, has a solid Patty Griffin vibe.
Hires has been touring the country in advance of the July 26 release of his debut LP, Take Us To The Start, on F-Stop Records, an imprint of Atlantic. If you miss him tonight, he'll also be at Clearwater's Pangaea Cafe at 6 p.m. Friday with Alexander and the Grapes, the Grecian Urns and Without a Couch. Tickets are only $3.
The Orpheum show is at 7 p.m.; tickets are $12.50. Get more info here.
