Concert of the day: Les Claypool and Matisyahu

Tonight is an amazing double-header of two of the most original acts to come around.

Not only will the former lead man of Primus and bassist extraordinaire, Les Claypool, be playing, but he'll be joined by the Hassidic Jewish man who preaches the word God through reggae and hip-hop, Matisyahu.

With a pairing this awesome and odd, it's hard to think of anything but how cool the show will be. One thought I do have, although, is how Claypool's normally racy style will mix with Matisyahu's cleaner lyrics and message.

The only way to tell is to be at Jannus Landing tonight at 6:30 p.m. The tickets are pricy at $40 but considering how it's a combination of two big national acts, it should be worth it.
