-- Seems like just last week we were complaining about comic Steven Wright skipping Tampa on his upcoming tour. Turns out he was just delaying the announcement. The deadpan master will be at Clearwater's Capitol Theatre at 8 p.m. Jan. 15. Tickets are $65-$73 (yikes!) and they go onsale Friday at noon.
-- It's not every day a Woodstock veteran comes to your town. But you can catch folk singer-songwriter Richie Havens at the Capitol Theatre at 8 p.m. Jan. 16. Tickets are $31-$46, and they go onsale Friday at noon.
-- You want to talk about busy? Eleven-year-old singer-songwriter Ella Jet is performing a whopping 3 shows in three counties on Sept. 27: at 11:15 a.m. at Folkfest St. Pete; at 3:05 at New Port Richey's Founders Day Celebration; and then at 5 p.m. with Hat Trick Heroes at Skipper's Smokehouse. Whew.
-- Orlando Weekly's got the scoop on what it calls the "best national music festival in Orlando," Anti Pop. Among this year's headliners: Minus the Bear, Ky-Mani Marley, Yacht, MC Chris, Big D and the Kids Dable, Brooke Waggoner, Whole Wheat Bread and many more.
