Creed, Gypsy Kings coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater
Ever wonder what it would be like to travel back in time and listen to an hour of modern rock radio in 1999? Well, now you can!
Creed have announced a concert on May 5 at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, in which they'll perform their album Human Clay in its entirety. That's the one that includes hits like Higher and With Arms Wide Open, two of the most unkillable rock singles of the late '90s. Good luck getting those out of your head this afternoon, or ever.
On this upcoming tour, Creed is actually performing two albums in full -- Human Clay and 1997's My Own Prison -- along with selected hits from Weathered and Full Circle. In some cases, they're spending two nights in a given city, performing both albums in their entirety. There's only one Human Clay show in Clearwater, but there's a decent chance they'll add a second one for My Own Prison, as this is their only show listed between May 2 and 9, and their only gig in their home state of Florida.
Tickets to Creed's Human Clay show are $39.50-$69.50, and they go onsale at noon Friday. Click here. And to get you amped for the concert, check out our interview with Scott Stapp from a couple of years ago. He's a pretty forthcoming dude.
Ruth Eckerd Hall also announced Monday that world-music titans the Gipsy Kings would be coming to Clearwater on May 8, so if you like both Creed AND Gipsy Kings -- there must be at least one of you out there, right? -- your week is set. Tickets to the Gipsy Kings are $49.50-$95.50, and they go onsale at noon Feb. 18. Click here.
