Two great things about being a jam band: (1) Most of your concerts are recorded, so you have a virtually limitless stash of recordings in your live archive; and (2) some of your fans are so loyal they'll buy just about anything you put out.

Dave Matthews Band, who play the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre on July 18, may be poppier than most jam bands, but that hasn't stopped them from launching DMBLive, a series of high-quality concert recordings collected over the last 20 years. And a couple of weeks ago, the group released a show that might be of interest to local fans: A March 2, 1994 gig at the Masquerade -- now the Ritz Ybor -- in Ybor City.

Recorded "during their very first tour dates in Florida," the show features an array of Dave oldies that rarely make his setlists nowadays, including Ants Marching, Satellite, Tripping Billies and breakthrough single What Would You Say. Diehards will appreciate "a classic Warehouse with supporting vocals from Carter (Beauford)" and Minarets, which "features Carter and Dave's scatting intro and ends with its typical feverish finish, with a segue into Typical Situation."

The show is available for $13.99 for a 256kbps .mp3 download, or $15.99 for lossless FLAC. Click here for more info and to get it.
