David Alan Grier talks parenting, 'Dancing With the Stars' and 'Chocolate Glutton'
We have to ask: Is this the first time David Alan Grier and David Allan Coe have performed in the same town on the same night? Grier is at the Club at Treasure Island, Coe is at the Dallas Bull. This has to be some kind of record. The two of them should really try to get together. We'd pay to be a fly on the wall for that.
But we digress. Grier (the comic, not the country outlaw) recently took time from acting, telling jokes and taking his kid to the beach to call tbt*. He discussed Dancing With the Stars, his food blog, Chocolate Glutton, and how he's able to multitask in so many ways:
"I like the variety," he said. "By the time you're sick of one, you can go to another. It's the best. My nightmare would be a cubicle job in which I have to sit next to the same person for 20 years. I'd probably kill them and myself or myself and them. But if you kill yourself first and try to kill someone else, it's tough unless a timing device is involved."
Grier performs at 9 p.m. Friday at the Club at Treasure Island. Tickets for nonclub members are $35. Click here for details.
