Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold lead Rockstar Uproar Tour at Ford Amphitheatre
Something we've never thought to ourselves: "You know what this country needs? More hard rock and heavy metal festivals."
Between the Warped Tour, Mayhem Festival, Bamboozle Roadshow, Ozzfest, Carnival of Madness Tour and (probably) many more, we're a little metaled out. But that hasn't stopped Rockstar Energy Drinks (who also sponsor Mayhem) from launching a second metal tour this summer.
The Rockstar Uproar Tour will hit Tampa's Ford Amphitheatre on Sept. 4, according to the tour's Web site. Among the bands on the bill: Avenged Sevenfold (above), Disturbed, Stone Sour, Halestorm, Hellyeah, Airbourne, Hail the Villian and New Medicine. Among the other festival highlights: A "Metal Midway Carnival" and a "Blue Collar Wrestling Tournament" ("The athlete that perseveres over injuries and adversity will be named King of the Tournnament.")
We cannot confirm that this event will be hosted by DJ Supersoak, Lil Blaster and Ass Dan. But we do suspect everyone will be getting mad pitchforks, yo.
According to the Uproar website, tickets go onsale June 12.
