Disturbed, Godsmack, Megadeth lead Mayhem Festival at Tampa's 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre
Let's call this the Decent-Sized Three. It ain't the Big Four, but for those of us on the East Coast, it'll have to do.
A few months after Megadeth, above, hits the stage in Indio, Calif., for a metal festival with Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax, they'll head on the road as one of the headlining acts of this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Joining them are two more pretty big names in modern metal: Godsmack and Disturbed.
Also on the bill: Secondary headliners Machine Head, Trivium and In Flames; as well as Suicide Silence, All Shall Perish, Straight Line Stitch, Unearth, Kingdom of Sorrow and Red Fang. (Testament and Metalocalypse heroes Dethklok will also make Mayhem Festival tour appearances this year, but not in Tampa.)
As previously announced, the Mayhem Festival will hit Tampa's 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre on Aug. 13. Ticket info has not been announced, but we'll give it to you when we have it. In the meantime, keep checking rockstarmayhemfest.com for details.
