DJs Pauly D, Jazzy Jeff, Excision invading Tampa Bay clubs for Spring Break

When we saw the news that Jonny "The Unit" Monfre (above) from Jersey Shore was coming to AJA Channelside in Tampa on Friday (click here for details), two things happened:

1. We questioned how a benevolent god could allow events like this to go on in the world; and

2. We got to thinking: What OTHER famous people are coming to clubs in Tampa Bay? We are nearing Spreak Break season, after all, and that's when all the nightclubs rush to book celebrity DJs for their Saturday night parties. So let's round up some of the bigger parties announced so far.

-- The one and only DJ Pauly D from Jersey Shore is returning to Tampa -- only this time, he'll skip The Venue and head across the bay to the Hawaiian Village at the Stadium Green Iguana. He'll be spinning during a March 17 St. Patrick's Day party. Tickets are $20. Click here and here for details.

-- At Shephard's Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach, two big-name DJs will hit the decks over St. Patty's Day weekend: DJ Skribble on March 17 and the actually-quite-well-respected DJ Jazzy Jeff on March 18. Click here for details. (Also, DJ/producer Clinton Sparks will be at Shephard's on April 14, which isn't exactly Spring Break time, but it's still worth noting.

-- The Ritz Ybor isn't a club, per se, but it will be on March 9, when dubstep DJ Excision comes to town. Tickets are $21. Click here.

-- In St. Petersburg, the Bishop Tavern and Lounge can't wait for Spring Break, so they're throwing a Mardi Gras party on Feb. 21 with a $250 "best beads" contest. Click here for details.

-- Finally, Durty Nelly's always throws a big block party in downtown St. Petersburg. This year's headliners are Gainesville punk legends Less Than Jake, along with A Wilhelm Scream and a ton of local bands. Click here for details.
