Does anyone miss the Hip Hop Soda Shop?
When it was announced in May that Tampa's much-ballyhooed Hip Hop Soda Shop would be closing, we reflected on some of its finest moments, including appearances by Doug E. Fresh, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, Fat Joe, Keri Hilson and Plies. (Click here for a photo gallery from the grand opening in 2007.)
Left untold was the story of what exactly caused the Soda Shop's downfall -- and what has happened to the musicians and comics who called the club home.
“I think it became a hub and people are sad to see it go,” said Daniel Jefferson of the improv comedy troupe Got Jokes. “It is not a matter of the need not existing. What it all comes down to, it just really was not executed well in the end. And that really is kind of unfortunate.”

What do you guys think? Are you sad to see the Soda Shop go? What did you love/hate about the place?
