Don't be tardy: Atlanta Housewife Kim Zolciak to sing Friday at Honey Pot
We're sure it's just a coincidence that this Friday the 13th, Kim Zolciak from Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta will grace Ybor City with her presence. Zolciak and her wig are stopping by Honey Pot to sing her dance hit Tardy for the Party, a subject of much friction during season 2 of the reality show. Club owner Stephen Moss used his connections to bring the socialite to town. Here's the flier.
Zolciak will mingle in the club’s VIP area from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. She’ll perform — likely just the one song — during or immediately following the club’s weekly 11:45 p.m. drag show.
"We were told 'she’ll be singing it live,' (but) I’m assuming she will probably still have the music as a backdrop for her," said Arica Love, VIP coordinator for Florida Entertainment, which organizes VIP and bottle service at several Ybor City venues. "She’s not a strong singer. We all know that. The song is a hit, and you can have your one-hit wonder. Britney Spears lip-syncs every day."
Say what you will about Zolciak's singing ability, or lack thereof, but Tardy for the Party reached No. 3 on iTunes. We're sure the show had nothing to do with that.
Speaking of the show, a Bravo camera crew is tagging along. So can we expect to see Zolciak’s Cigar City appearance on a future episode of Housewives? Possibly.
"They may use that footage. We don’t know," Love said. “We just know that they’re coming with her.”
Honey Pot it as 1507 E Seventh Ave., Tampa. Ages 18 and up. $10 general admission. $15 gets you into the VIP area, where Zolciak will be available for photos and autographs.
Love said Zolciak’s reps described her as “very friendly, very open. Her staff let us know we can gush and goo all over her.”
Just don't pull the wig.
