Drake coming to the University of Central Florida in Orlando

It figures: Spring's best hip-hop tour isn't coming to Tampa ... at least not yet. In the meantime, we can rejoice in the fact that it's coming to Orlando.

Grammy performer Drake -- who was a no-show due to injury when last summer's America's Most Wanted tour with Lil Wayne came to Tampa -- has lined up a 15-date college tour that will bring him to the University of Central Florida on April 21. Also on the bill: K-OS and Francis and the Lights. No word on tickets just yet, or even on the building in which the show will be held.

From the lineup alone, you can tell this is definitely not your average hip-hop tour. Dubbed by Drake as the Home Away From Home Tour, it's designed to be part of the 2010 Campus Consciousness Tour, a college environmental event founded by Guster's Adam Gardner. Yes, this means Guster and Drake are technically collaborating on a project. Weird.

As dejected as we are that Drake hasn't announced a Tampa date, we're not giving up hope just yet. According to MTV News, plans to add dates to the tour are in the works -- and there's an open four-day stretch just before the Orlando gig. Come on, Drizzy, Tampa students care about the environment, too! Come to USF or UT -- we promise Tampa will be the best you ever had!
