Dust off your 'Thriller' moves for dance party at The Pier
Well, we know where we'll be on the night of Oct. 24. That's when a group of well-rehearsed, costumed zombies plan to congregate at the Pier in St. Petersburg for a local "Thrill The World" party.
Around the world, thousands of dancers will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous dance, and of course they're going to use the dance from Michael Jackson's Thriller. You were expecting maybe the Electric Slide?
If you want to participate in "Thrill St. Pete," you're more than welcome. The event is open to all ages, but you'll need to sign up and fill out a waiver. Or you can just volunteer. Check out the above video for inspiration.
Practice sessions start this week at the Bay Medical Center Studio, 7001 Central Ave., Suite No. 2, St. Petersburg. The dates and times:
-- Sept. 24, 7:30 p.m.
