Eddie Vedder coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater

It's been a few years since Pearl Jam played Tampa -- 2008, to be precise. That was an election year, and Eddie Vedder's a political guy. So what better way to celebrate 2012 than to schedule another show in Tampa Bay?

The Pearl Jam singer will perform a solo concert on May 10 at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. Tickets are a robust $81 and will go onsale at 10 a.m. Feb. 3. Click here for details. (And if you live farther east, you might be interested in knowing that Vedder will also be at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center in Orlando on May 16.)

Because this is a solo show, we would expect a number of selections from Vedder's solo catalog, the Into The Wild soundtrack and his collection of ukulele songs, the appropriately named Ukulele Songs. But solo setlists from 2011 show a propensity for Pearl Jam tracks, too: Better Man, Porch, Wishlist, Immortality, Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town.

This gives us plenty of time to get that Eddie Vedder tattoo we've always had our eye on.
