The Florida Tuskers want to be in the Switchfoot business

"What the hell are the Florida Tuskers," you're probably wondering, "and what do they have to do with Christian-themed modern rock?"

The Tuskers are Florida's franchise in the upstart United Football League; they're based in Orlando but are owned in part by the Tampa Bay Rays, meaning they'll play one game at Tropicana Field on Oct. 30.

The Bucs aren't doing so hot this year, so does that mean the Tuskers will become Tampa Bay's new favorite home team? Well, even with ex-Bucs Dexter Jackson and Michael Pittman on the roster, it's a longshot.

Enter Switchfoot. If there's one thing the Tampa Bay Rays know, it's that people will come to see anything, so long as there's a free rock concert involved.

As a result, Switchfoot (Meant to Live, Dare You To Move) will perform a free postgame concert after the game between the Tuskers and Las Vegas Locomotives at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Trop. Tickets start at just $15.
